Finished Dress

I finished the dress last night. I'm still not sure about it. It was not really hard to make, but it did take a while and there was quite a bit of hand sewing all the bands down. Oh well if I decide not to wear it out I have a nice house dress. And who doesn't pop on a dress and some lippy while cooking dinner with their bathed and perfectly behaved children while waiting for their husbands to come home (yes Mum I know this will make you laugh!)
And while I was in the sewing zone late last night I finished another giraffe.

I think it looks great! I love the bold colorus you used, and the kimono style of the design.

And what are you talking about, I'm ALWAYS wearing make-up, perfume and looking fantstic when my husband comes home from work... I have a glass in the freezer for his beer too (would you believe an old man once gave me that as a 'tip' about being a good wife!)

Love the dress! Great colours and design - all your clothes-making is really tempting me to give it a go :-) And gorgeous giraffe. You are indeed a sewing dynamo.

I think the dress looks really fun. Why not wear it, you know that no one there will have one like it (no fashion horror moment when you discover you are wearing the same dress as the groom's great aunt).

The cover of that toy book is adorable. The banana cake photo looks like something out of a food magazine!!!

I had this tucked away when I did an editorial illustration with my students once...very amusing.

Like Sarah, clothes are so beyond me. Tried making PJs once, and it will be many moons until I attempt to make it all again!
