McCalls 7333

One thing my wardrobe was missing was a light weight jacket, especially one I could wear over button up shirts. Enter McCalls 7333. I found this amazing Nani Iro linen at Miss Matatabi (sold out now) and I knew it would be perfect. I made a size Large and the only adjustment was to take it up an inch as I was running out of fabric (plus you'd never say I was tall!!). It is a really generously sized pattern, I like it being quite big, but I probably could've sized down.
I'm really happy with this, I'd definitely consider using this pattern again.

Sunrise Block

When I write patterns for my books I always play around with different colour combinations in Electric Quilt before I make a decision on what to use. I love the combination of oranges with a low volume cream and blue background fabric in my Sunrise quilt in Scrappy and Happy Quilts, but I always wanted to see what it would look like with a charcoal background and bold colours.
I had an hour the other day so I tried it. I love it! I think I need to add it to the huge pile of WIPs and finish it.

More Archer Shirts

More Archer Shirts. I think I can sew them in my sleep now.
I used an amazing wool/cotton blend by Gertrude Made from Ella Blue Fabrics for this one. I think this might be the most favourite shirt I've ever made.

I also made this one using Nani Iro sateen.  I bought this not knowing how heavy it would be. It is surprisingly lightweight and has beautiful drape. So it became another Archer and it is beautiful to wear!
