Chicken Top

This is still my favourite Ottobre pattern. I made a few a couple of years ago and they were worn a lot. So here is a new one for Eva made from some fantastic chicken fabric I found at Spotlight (in the quilting section).

The only sensible picture I managed to take was of the back.

Love the red flower buttons
They came from a big pack of buttons I bought at Spotlight. Not the best quality, but they are great for children's clothes. They are also excellent for children to sort, group, pair, learn colours etc. A pack of buttons can keep a child very happy while I am sewing them some clothes.

How are we meant to look at the dress when the model is so darn cute?

Gorgeous dress and fabric is too cute. Your little girl is cuter though. You really do get some great photos from children of this age!++

Loev the shots, they look better on the computer than the phone! And what a poser! Buttons work well for while, mine's older now, more bribing needed haha. And she def wouldn't wear a chicken top!

What a cute little chicken she is! And buttons are hugely popular with all ages in this house!

Kate this is adorable -I love the chicken fabric!
I have those buttons too - the girls sort them into one of those divided Tupperware lunch-boxes, all the red ones, all the teapots etc. This gives me extra sewing time - so in my mind it's a winner!

Beautiful dress! I must be going wrong somewhere with Spotlight - I don't seem to find anything inspiring lately. And great idea with the buttons as an activity for the kids - I'll have to put a bag on my list for the next visit to spotlight!
