Cross Over Dress

A new dress for Eva. I wanted something quick to make, that didn't need a zip or buttons so I drafted a pattern and this is what I made. A simple cross over top dress. A little big, but great for hot days. I used bias binding for the arms which I might rethink when I do another one. Actually I might add some sleeves. I think I might try to add some elastic around the waist instead of gathers too (like these dresses).
Poor Evie has another big lump on her head. She runs so fast and is often so busy looking in the other direction.

I remember the stage on running and not watching where you are going. Bumbs or not, the dress and Evie both look great!

Oh, it's so cute! Perfect for the hot weather.

Ali has a shiner in the exact same spot right now. He tumbled down a step.

What a cute little dress! Poor Evie might need to wear a bike helmet to protect her head. My word verification for today is house!

Eva looks lovely and cool in her dress. I think I need the adult version for the weather here at present.

cute dress. I remember the bump on the head stage. With my third little one, he had a bump on most of his pictures from that stage. It's good thing they grow out of it.

Nothing cuter than a girlie dress and a photo with a big lump! Sweet.

So cute! I love how you can just whip up patterns in your head. I'm trying to be more adventurous with altering patterns, so perhaps it will lead to making my own one day!
