Homespun Magazine

I was so excited to see the January issue of Homespun magazine in the newsagency today. In it you will find the pattern for my platypus and also a pattern to makes babies.
Thanks Homespun!
I finished the twirly skirts for the girls and I think they are happy with them. They looked happy twirling around the lawn this afternoon.

The skirts seemed to take forever - a lot longer than my normal version which involves a hem and some elastic.
Amelia was desperate to use this pink and red spot fabric so I whipped up some frilly pants. Much quicker than the skirts.

Hi Kate, it's Corina in New Jersey. I kind of left you hanging...things went a little crazy (and still are). I last asked you what colours your girls liked and how you ever managed to get sewing done with twins (let alone a new baby as well!!!). Well what a difference 4-6 months makes... My girls were the pink and yellow team. And then Kitty declared an undying love for GWEEN (more of an obsession actually). So now when shopping/sewing all "gween" belongs to Nikita whilst Trinity gets every other colour by default! And now they let me sew without constantly touching all my stuff...it is a miracle! I actually was able to sew some stuff for the house and for Christmas..I almost feel like a whole person again. Thank you for the continued inspiration on your blog...gorgeous work and awesome juggling!

Wonderful article and wonderful sewing Kate. I must admit this is the first time I have seen your work, but I am hooked. I am heading for my material stash now ... I too live in the southwest of WA and believe summer is now here!!!

As soon as I saw the pattern in Homespun, I knew it would make the perfect gift for my little Goddaughter. I've posted a picture on my blog http://www.visionhandbags.typepad.com.
