I am working my way through the piles on my desk. I've nearly finished a few of these.
Next is some cutting out. Not my favourite part at the best of times, but getting even trickier as my stomach keeps expanding. Lucky I have two little helpers that can pick things up for me when I drop them.

Hi Kate
It's Corina in NJ (cold cold cold).
I have been wondering if you are able to sew with your girls nearby. Do they try to touch your machine, pins, needles, scissors? Have you somehow taught them not to touch? My girls are nearing 2 and I am hoping that one day I can actually bring my sewing machine out whilst they play. At this point it feels to me like they will never learn what "no touching" means.
BTW My sister uses the bag you made all of the time- she likes it very much.

love that pile of fabric... it looks so lovely
Hello Kate, I would love to be a fly on the wall or floor at your place with the three & 1/2 of you in your sewing room, as you slowly move further away from the table.
LOL !!!!
Isn't that the worst when you drop something! When I was heavily pregnant (my son was born 10lb 8) I would stare at whatever I dropped willing it to rise up from the floor or stare at it cursing when I realized my lack of magic powers!!!
Love all of the fabrics in the last pic... Can't wait to see what you make up with them!!

I'm not a big fan of cutting at the best of times let alone with a belly.
Kids have their uses - they come very in handy for fetching nappies, clean vests etc, I'll start the ironing training soon ;o)
Love the fabrics too
I love those little platypus eyes and your fabric choices are inspiration.
