Skirts

These two girls have declared they will only wear skirts and dresses this sumer and have been through all my fabric and have made little piles of their favourites. The one on the left is denim and gathered. The one on the right is Rosalie Quinlans new gorgeous fabric and has a few pleats.
Some new yarns - it hs been great weather for dyeing and drying.

I like the edge accents on the skirts, the girls are growing fast! Love the teal/blue yarn, gorgeous! Glad it's Spring over where you are.

Oh my two oldest are the same - except they judge my sewing by the 'twirlability' factor of the skirt.
No twirl = No good!

Quite stylish little ones. Aren't they lucky to have a talented Mom with a fantastic fabric stash.

Oh skirts!
I think this is the first summer of skirts for us too, I have only ever let her wear ones with built in shorts. Now that she is 5 and I can sew I can get some extra length in to them to try and help combat visible undies! LOL

my eldest daughter told me this too, when she was like 2years old: "i only want to wear skirts, because trousers, that's for workers". And so she did: she's 7 now and untill now she never wanted to wear trousers, even no pijamas lol

I'm the same. Skirts and dresses only. No little girls for me to sew for though. Guess that saves me $$.
