Elephants and Curry

I love this little elephant. I made him from another Japanese craft book and he's made from wool felt and scraps.
He's just got 1 small problem - he is slightly unbalanced and has to rest on his trunk all the time.
I made my (and Chris') favourite curry last night. It was so cold, the weather was perfect for this. It is a Sri Lankan curry called Kukul Mas. You can find the reipe here http://www.theworldfeast.com.au/recipes.php?recipeID=5&archive_cultureID=52

Cute elephant! I made one too, and had the same trunk-heavy problem. I wound up putting a lot of weight in the rear end - I used small-grained sushi rice.
I love that Japanese book, though - don't you?

Here is the reference for the elephant. I found the book at either yesasia or amazon Japan. http://huangfamily.com/craftingjapanese/archives/2006/02/isbn483476348x.html#comments
