Hey Mr DJ

I have a love/hate relationship with foundation paper piecing. It does not come naturally too me and I spend a lot of time unpicking and redoing. There has been tears as I have sewn blocks, but I think this is why I love it so much. There is such a sense of achievement when I do finally finish a block.
As soon as I saw Molli Sparkle's Hey Mr DJ block I knew I needed to make it for one of my music obsessed girls. She never asks me to sew her much, but she really wants a quilt out of these blocks.
This is my test block (yes there were mistakes - the navy fabric was going the wrong way in some parts and I made myself redo those pieces). I love it. Grace loves it. We are just negotiating colour and fabric choices.
