New Knitting Bag

All my little knitting bags are full of unfinished projects which is probably a sign I should finish something before I start something new. But I really had to start a yellow cardigan so I made a new knitting bag.
I used these quilt-as-you-go panels I made a while ago and lots of left overs from other projects and based it on this one I made for my sister.
I added a pocket for stitch markers inside in the hope I can find them when I need them.

I think I need to change the size of the panels and make myself a handbag a bit like this.

I love the bag and the fabrics. It would be a great handbag.

I love your attitude. I don't need to finish things; I need more places to put things! I'm going to try that as a few new projects have been itching at me. :)

Oh my goodness, that's lovely. Did you use a pattern for it?

Beautiful! Love The shape of the bag, is it a Pattern or did you make it up as you were sewing?

tee hee! I love that you needed a new knitting bag to justify a new knit. I am making myself finish stuff off and not cast on anything new until I get my daughters damn poncho off the needles (it has been marinating for 18 months!) Maybe a new knitting bag would speed it along?

Thanks everyone! I based it on the bag in this book

Love your knitting bag, I have one very similar that I love and always looks bright and cheery, sitting next to my chair :)

You're too funny -- I love the plan to make a new bag when all the others are occupied. Sort of like -- "all the dishes are dirty, so I'll buy new dishes" LOL. Love the new bag -- so bright and cheery!

I'm in the market for a new knitting bag and this just tickles me. What do you have in the middle of the quilted bit? is how thick is it? I'm trying to work out if I can get away with scraps and some flannel as wadding because I'm somewhat immobile at present but replete in scraps and flannel.

It is just left over bits of batting from quilts I think flannel would be fine, its definitely worth a try!
