I think I have overcome my fear of sewing knit fabrics. This is Simplicity 3775 made from cotton jersey. I didn't make any adjustments to the pattern and it was quite easy. Although the fabric drove me crazy as each piece kept rolling up so there was lots of pinning to stop that. This dress might be the equivalent of the fisherman's skirt I made during summer. I ended up making about 4 of them and I can definitely see myself more of these dresses.

Fabulous dress Kate! Definitely a yummy mummy dress xox
Great clothes sewing Kate. Love the dress. Love your flower kisses quilt from the other day.
Excuse me madam??? How do you have all this clothes sewing time? Are you not getting ready for something HUGE in about 2 weeks or so???
Your dress looks great! I want one!
Your dress looks fantastic on you Kate, you'll have a new wardrobe of clothes soon.
Well done, i'm not brave enough for wrap around stretchy dresses but you look great!! Love Posie
Wow Kate..the dress looks great! I might have to brave clothes sewing for me and give one of these a go. Is this a Spotlight knit?
Looking good, I can see that in a few different colours. Looks great with the leggings as well.
I love it when you find an item of clothing that is just great! Hope you make heaps, cause this one works beautifully for you.
Wow, how did you get past the very average pattern picture to make such a fabulous dress? It looks like it could have just been in Leona Edmiston window.
You look gorgeous Kate! I see many different combinations in this.
oh now you're on a roll! love it! that would be sooo perfect as a maternity dress too! I'm going to hunt that one down...looks great with leggings and am sure it cost you a fraction of buying it!
I'm impressed!

Looking fabulous:)
Looks great Kate! Good job! 2 stretch pieces now, CONGRATS. You do get use to sewing with stretch, even though it slips. I like it, as there is no fitting or darts needed.
It looks great with leggins and can't wait to see you whip up some more. If you need any stretch patterns, come visit next time your in Perth and we can cut a copy with interfacing. Lvoe Lee
just found your blog and that is too cute! It's very flattering!
I like this dress! I love sewing clothes for my girls, but haven't sewn anything for myself in a while. I'm whipping up a couple "pillowcase" style dresses for the girls this summer!
