Goodbye 2009

I had huge plans for handmade presents this year. Some were finished, some have been started and some may happen next year.
I made a hat for Chris' Dad (modelled by Chris) out of the softest Malabrigo. Detail on ravelry.

Yes I know I have a half finished Ishbel I should finish first but I cast on this for Mum (before Christmas so i am counting it as a present) and she will get it soon. I am using a beautiful mix of silk and wool I dyed up a while ago.

Not a Christmas present, but I finished it last week before we headed to Albany as it is usually cold here at night. Made with heavyweight Socks That Rock and the pattern is Boheme. More details on ravelry.
The girls all got dresses from me. Here is Grace and her cousin Lysbeth in their dresses. Worn over t shirts, legging and jeans. My girls are definitely still in the "I will only wear a dress phase". Eva in her dress.

Happy New Year Kate! The hat looks like the boyfriend hat pattern that I knit for my son last year. I love those dresses, such cuties wearing them too. Your shawl looks beautiful in those colors. I am thinking I might even knit one this year for Paul's grandmother's 90th birthday. Just need to find a beautiful blue color for it.

Oh you clever knitting types!! I sell gorgeous knitting needles yet am still to get back into knitting, like i used to as a girl. Nothing like a sewing habit & 4 children to get in the way of new crafty horizons.
Sweet dresses too. My brothers' children all interlock in ages, & my sister & my children interlock in ages, so it's really nice - cousins are the best things ever!! Happy crafting, love Posie

Kezi is at the dress wearing stage too, I had plans to make shirred dresses for my girls but then discovered (after doing all the prep) that my machine won't shirr!!

Gorgeous! My mum's knitting a Boheme for my Livinia (yay!), have I seen handmade wooden buttons on your blog? If so, can you let me know your supplier? I'm having difficulty finding Aussie ones!
