Little Crochet Baskets

I was trying to clean up the spare/sewing/everything room this morning (not that you can tell - it stills looks like a bomb hit it) and discovered these. I crocheted them a couple of years ago using scraps of quilting fabric and cotton string. I think the pattern came from Simple Crochet. They are now holding bobbins and buttons so at least I know where something is.

They're gorgeous Kate! I mentioned to mum only yesterday that I wished I had learned to crochet when my Nana was still alive. Unfortunately she passed away many years ago when I was 15 and had no crafty inclinations.

These little baskets are great! I have been trying to teach myself to crochet recently but not succeeding! Seeing these makes me think I will try again!

I love your little baskets. I'm just beginning to get to grips with crochet so this is another project to add to my to do list.

What thread do you use for the body of the basket - it has a lovely colour and texture.

I am just learning to crochet at the moment and managed to create something very similar the other day, I will have to post a bout it so you can see!

I just love the simplicity of these little baskets..I could make them endlessly but how many baskets does one girl need?.....although having seen these lovelies makes me feel the need to go and start one now...
