Sleep

I'm seriously in need of sleep. Eva is back to waking up for hours at night. The only option is to take turns being up with her for 3 hours or let her scream for three hours. This just gets worse when Chris is on volunteer ambulance call and he is out for hours at a time during the night and day. I know he is doing a great service and don't want to complain about it, but I just need a few hours of peace to work or sew on weekends and I feel very frazzled without it.
One good thing from this weekend is we started looking at bigger houses. Good because we are all going to drive each other mad in this little house if we have to stay here, but it is a very scary thought having to move everything in this house somewhere else.
Coming soon a guest post: Nice one Jodie - I'm blaming you for encouraging Chris to guest post about the Stitches and Craft Fair. He has been typing away and said it is finished. Mmm think I might have a little look and a little edit before I post it.
No craft pictures today so here is one of the big girls.

Empathy galore on the sleep front. Nothing worse than a chirpy baby in the wee hours of the morning and a sleep deprived mamma during the day. Hope it all settles doen doon!

Crap about the sleep. Bigger house with your bedroom up one end and the kids down the other perhaps?? Really sucks being tired. Finger crossed she settles down soon and I hope you manage a break for yourself soon. Happy Wife, Happy life.
Looking forward to Chris' post...I have always wondered what hubby's think about all this crafty stuff, should be good :) xox

Ah ... sleep problems ... why does no one tell us about this when we sign up for parenthood ???
I do hope you managed to get a little of the magic stuff and perhaps just a little bit of crafty goodness too...

My 2 1/2 year old has been having sleep issues since May. She decided she didn't want to go to bed at 7pm anymore and thought she'd stay up until 10... and wouldn't stay in her bed.

Have you tried calling the Tresillian helpline? I think they're Australia wide... not sure though because I'm in NSW. We called them and they helped us sort out our daughter. Then she started to wake up at 3 and decided she was ready to start the day. We basically just kept putting her back to bed (by we, I mean me! not my husband!) and not letting her get up until a reasonable hour... like say 5!

Hope it all works out. We have a 6 week old son now too and I haven't sat at my sewing machine since before he was born. I don't feel like myself without that time.

I cannot wait to see what Mr. Two Little Banshees has to write either, it would be nice to know what males think! Good luck with the house hunting and just think of how much more room you will have too, you wont know yourself. I hope you get some sleep soon. Isabelle never used to sleep properly as a baby. She was lactose intolerant though and we never found out until she was 8 mths old. It helped a great deal changing her to a lactose intolerant formula and helped her sleep much better. I hope you find a solution for her sleeping soon too.

A lovely one has decided that since moving to Melbourne, now would be a good time to start sleeping with Mum and dad...not so nice at midnight. 3 weeks and counting...

snap and snap! my tillie keeps me up and when I bring her into bed hubby huff's and goes and finds a spare bed (we have 2) and is all cranky. She is a night owl and wants to party rather than sleep next to me...I'm exhausted...finn and keira sleep through it all

and when the twins arrived we had to hunt down a bigger house....and a bigger mortgage that came with it! good luck, we had to get removalists to pack as it was too big for us and I'm still finding stuff I haven't unpacked! I do a bag for vinnies, a bag for ebay, a bag of rubbish and let family/friends sort through it first. works a treat

Ahh yes, sleep deprivation - know all about that here! Some nights I hear the patter of feet and just sit up and let her jump in. Then everyone can get some sleep! That works until she kicks the doona off between us and we end up having a tug of war with it! The good thing is I know they get bigger and grow out of it! Can't wait for Mr Banshee's view on Sydney - should be a laugh! Please don't edit it!
