It is time for another Bloggers' Quilt Festival! I made this quilt about 18 months ago. I started by making one simple block and then I pulled out lots of fabrics with aqua, red and green in them. I tried to use lots of different fabrics with different shades of the three colours. I wanted to use the same size rectangles in the border so the first border is just rectangles and the second one is flying geese for something a bit different. This is probably still my favourite quilt that I have made and has been on my bed all of winter.

What a wonderful quilt - I love it when people come up with something really beautiful from their stash.
Good for you, using your stash! I really love this quilt, I love the tessellation styled piecing of it. :)
I love this quilt of yours. We sleep under quilts in winter too.
oh i love it! And dont you just love quilts on our beds!! The bedroom just makes you smile everytime you walk in... unless its like my bed and rarely made!!
what a lovely quilt you have made! I love these little windmills, and the colours, and it is great that you made two borders, it finishes off the quilt very well.

I love your quilt. Great use of scraps and thanks for explaining your quilt. It's beautiful.
I loved this quilt from the first time I saw it on your blog. So much so that I bought the pattern to make one for myself via fatquarter shop. Next week I'm off to the quilt festival in Houston and I'll have the pattern instructions in my handbag so I can buy some additional fat quarters to supplement my stash. I think I'll go a similar colour combination.
This is gorgeous. I love all the color! I was thinking of making a quilt with just this block. It looks wonderful!
I love this quilt too Kate.......

Such a cheerful quilt! Love the aqua, red, and green colours.
Beautiful! It looks so happy.
cute and fresh!
Tessellation patterns are such fun because it is so neat to see the way the pattern pops out. Love the cheery fabrics and the border that you added to it- Very pretty.
Enjoy the blog festival- there are many wonderful quilts to view.
Regards,
Anna
I love this quilt too!!
I love the simplicity of this quilt. The fabrics look great against the white. Gorgeous borders, too!
I love this quilt! Love the pattern with the bright colors...but I think most of all I love the borders and that you combined rectangles with flying geese. Brilliant!
What a beautiful quilt! I really like the flow of the colors and the white background.
It is a really great quilt. I like how all the colors you chose work so well together.
Love the quilt! The colors are so happy. Are you the designer of the platypus in the header? I think it is in the same Australian Homespun that the quilt from my Quilt Festival post is in. I will make that someday too, especially since seeing real platypuses in Healsville. It would bring back wonderful memories of my visit to Australia. Your version is just adorable.
Lovely! Love the little border - it adds just the right amount of sassiness!
