I really enjoyed not following a pattern for this quilt and designing it myself.
I had one big bit of fabric for the back, but it wasn't wide enough so I used scraps from the front to make it wider.
The machine quilting looks ok from the front (not so good from the back). It definitely improved as I went along.

Terrific quilt - the little pigs are super cute. You have inspired me to have another go at machine quilting - cause hand quilting is just soooo slow! I think I might try a cot quilt - it must be an easier size to manoeuvre.
I love it - those little pig faces are so cute and i think that the strip of scraps on the back adds a lot to it!

Oh my gosh! I love it! The quilt is wonderful and you can just see the love that went into it.
That flower quilt is wonderfull!! What a lucky girl is your niece! It's amazing how many things you are finishing and making these days, you must have some super-energy (before the baby is born and perhaps there is less time to craft..)

Gorgeous - the pigs are very cute and you did well with the machine quilting flowers - I can't do anything past random swirls.
The piggy quilt looks wonderful Kate. Next you will be writing your own patterns. I am sure your niece will treasure it for years to come too.
