oooooooh I don't know anything much about dogs but I know this is just gorgeous! My three year olds clamboured all over my keyboard expclaiming 'doggy... oooh I want that doggy!'
I honestly think he is great. Yes he does look more like a puppy than a grown Dachsy. I think I might commission one of these next year..after Christmas rush.
Our Dachsund is a cross. We think he is crossed with some kind of terrior so he has amore square face..just like this one.

Maybe the tail needs to be longer and pointier.
