Another dress from Simplicity 3775. Even quicker this time as I knew what I was doing. It is hard to tell from the pictures but it is black with red, grey and white spots. I would quite happily live in these dresses all winter.
For every great pattern I find there always seems to be a not great pattern. Kwik Sew 3616 is one of them. Definitely only a winner if you want to be mistaken for a bat.

Love your dress, that style looks fantastic on you, spunky boots too.
Now I love the dress and it look great with the boots but the top looks a bit .... uncomfortable. Those sleeves would "bug" the hell out of me. Like you said, can't always find great patterns.
Yep, the top is just weird. It just looks wrong. That dress though is gorgeous. I love that pattern and the print you have used looks wonderful (and the dress just brilliant with your boots too) Nice work!
You're quite the sewer. Wish I loved to make clothes because I'd have a wardrobe full of polka dots! I did buy a dress pattern recently because I LOVE it. Wonder if I'll just admire it or actually make it.
Kate, Love the dress, specially with the boots!!!! hot! hot! hot! I do like the top, but maybe if the sleeves where not long so they didn't look Batty (but I do like bat wing tops) Try cutting a few inches off the sleeve length maybe?? or have the sleeves so the underarm is short-sleeve and long at the top (so you type of cut a triangle of them?? not sure if this make any sense..) Great they you are into stretch! Love Lee P.S. get Chris to take you out on Mothers day so you can wear your dress & boots!
Hi - I LOVE your dress and went looking for the pattern. My brother is getting married in a few months and thought this one would be great! I can't find it though? Do you know if it's still current? Many thanks, Liz.

Love the dress! I see what you mean about the top, it has strange sleeves. Maybe if you shaped them in more it would look better?
Yes! Love the dress! Will be purchasing this pattern when Spotlight has it on sale next.
Sadly the top is bat like. Fine for flapping about the house ;) xox
I'm saying it with love you know, that top is a bit freaky....

Looks really good again!
You're so funny! Well, I do love the dress -- great job on both!
