A couple of presents for 3 year old birthdays. I think this could be my standard present for the next year. Easy and fun to make. The pattern is from Kathy of Pink Chalk Studio and can found in Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts.
Not much had been happening on this quilt for my niece since last September so I decided that it has to be done. I have finished the blanket stitch and now the pigs need some eyes which I think I'll embroider on. Then it's time to see if my Maths was any good late last night as I calculated what to cut for the borders.

The quilt is absolutely beautiful..
what a cute quilt- goodluck with the maths
I love the pencil rolls - the colours are just great!
Those pencil rolls are tops. I've looked at that pattern several times, but I don't need it (pencils in jars, empty mustard containers, old jugs) and I can't think who to give one to. I'm thinking I'll make one just for the sake of it...eventually.
Lovely, lovely quilt. Well done!
What a great idea with the pencil rolls :):)
Pretty pencil cases! Wonderful colours.
Love the fabric you used. Everytime I see a post about this project they always look great. The caterpillars from your last post are fabulous!!

I so want to make those pencil rolls. THanks for the link - also, good idea to have a standard press for the year.
Great idea for the presents and can't wait to see the quilt finished. I'm going to get a simply lap quilt made for my niece as a late Birthday present. Be back to you soon with that.
The quilt will look gorgeous when its finished, will be waiting for a pic of the whole quilt!

Those pencil rolls are great. I have seen a few great projects from that book around blogland lately. Having a hard time resisting the urge to buy it. Looking forward to some pics of the finished quilt. It's looking lovely so far!
