I made good use of Chris' last day of holidays and did some more sewing.
While I have two little banshees my sister says she has a little monster. I've never seen this - she's always so sweet when I see her. Looking after her last week inspired this sweet little monster, definitely not a scary monster.
My maths worked! I finished the quilt top for the little monster and hopefully it won't be too long before I quilt it, just need to work out how I am going to do it.While I have two little banshees my sister says she has a little monster. It was back to reality today. Chris was back to work and the girls are missing him. So am I, but things are getting easier as the girls grow. They have more language skills and can tell me what they want and what they want to do. They also play together better and for longer periods of time. They are so used to being in the sewing room that they know what they can touch and what they can't. I'm hoping to still get some sewing done and they can play along side me.

The sweet little monster is cute! Almost as cute as the inspiration I am sure!
I hope that the first day at home with the girls is ok!!
Life becomes so much easier once your little ones can communicate! Love your monster and your quilt top!
Can monsters be called gorgeous ? That is so cute!
Wow...that quilt is just gorgeous. You are so very clever!!! I have to say Kate, you are very talented when it comes to selecting fabrics, they always seem to co-ordinate beautifully(not to mention your sewing skills).
I know a few "little monsters" of my own. That quilt is gorgeous!
That has to be one of the cutest quilts I have ever seen. Great work Kate!
And the little monster... I just got Keegan some monster jammies! We're very into monsters these days.
Congratulations on your maths! The quilt is adorable.
And the monster is so cute...how can that be a monster?
That's the way Kate. My kids always loved it when I sewed and just hung around sorting buttons, colourcoding my pins and various other things. They knew I was happy, so they were happy - I just ADORE the Molly Monster!
This is just what I imagine a little monster to look like, expecially at that age.
Love the quilt Kate, love the colour, pattern etc.
Glad you able to sewing with the girls around you.
Sound funny when you say, "They know what they can and can't touch" They learn quickly don't they.....
The quilt looks great!
The quilt is great - beautiful! I know what you are saying I have a 14 month old who insists on pulling out the cord from the power point when I am sewing or switching it off at the wall - might be something to do with his Dad being electrician. Pleased to know it gets easier...
wow... pencil rolls... quilts....softies... everything looks amazing... great work...
luv Abby

The quilt looks beautiful. I love the little monster too, so cute, and just as adorable as the inspiration too. By the way I have nominated you for an award so pop on over and check out the details.

Oh I would so like to see a picture of your sewing room! I can just imagine the amazing stacks of fabric.
Love the little monster and love the pencil rolls even more. Where did you get the outside fabric from? Just gorgeous!
Kate, that quilt is really lovely, monsters and all. Well done!
oh that quilt is so lovely!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has worries with twins on board..it really is double the worry. I also know how nice it is once little people can tell you what they want...unfortunately though keira wanted ice cream and strawberries for breakfast and I kept having to say all gone so she understood!!!!
wonderful! love the colours, love the fabrics and designs - it will be a pleasure for a little monster to sleep under I am sure!
BTW - my own 'little' monster was 12 by the time I finished the cot quilt I started for her when I was pregnant!
