My little sock creature from yesterday was inspired by the pictures and tutorials in this book. I picked it up a while ago on ebay and the ISBN is 9868200466.
My poor little creature from yesterday is now eyeless and belly buttonless. Grace managed to remove his face, but he's still loved. I think I have to give those pigs a go next.

And a lot of fun you appear to be having with it.
Oh my goodness, look at those wonderful sock animals. I'm definitely in love with several of them. Thanks for sharing the book and isbn #...I'll need to go check and see if I can get it.
Those piggies are very cute and isn't it great when our children love the toys we make so much you know they are loved!
looks like a great book - another one to add to the list!
Ooh I think I like all of them. Maybe I will have to have a look at getting one of those books too, so I can make wonderful animals like you. The other sockie must have been well loved for everything to be tried and tested by your girls.
That octopus is the cutest, though the purple dinosaur is fun too--yup, better make them all, it's too hard to decide.
That Japanese craft book is just the cutest - I love all those little sock creatures!
what a wonderful cute looking book that will have to go on my Wish List on Amazon which is getting a bit out of hand! your bags are gorgeous and I love the sock creature too
Aww, they are the funkiest, cutest monsters I've ever seen.
Your little stripy guy is so sute!
I found your page via a google search for sock monkeys...and I know you posted the isbn number and amazon nor half dot com can find that number. I am curious to know what search did you use on ebay.

Renee
Hi Renee
I think I was just searching Japanese Craft Books and came across it - one of those lucky finds and I think I got it from jpop (?).

They do the book in English now! and I love making them! have started my own designs and sell them online at folksy and I also have a fansite on Facebook. Theyre called sockimals by lorna. x
My Mum got that from the library, it's the english version, it inspired me and I've read it about 4 times over 24 hours. I had a go too.
