We had a quick trip to Perth on the weekend as my sister was over from Melbourne, we have another one planned for this weekend. The house is piled with washing and the floor has lots of little bits of 'squashed stuff' all over it. So I have been sewing. Pleated tops nearly finished for the big girls and a smock for me. Suzy made this pattern a while ago and I really liked it. Even though I think we have extremely different body types I gave it a go and I think it fits, even if it does look like I am wearing a doona cover which is ok beacuse it was one.
This looks like a lovely top, Kate! Had to find out what a doona cover is and no it doesn't look like one. The color is nice, I like the bold pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice and the print is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove that you are wearing a doona cover! Top is too cute. Will check out the pattern next time I'm in Spotlight.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I love that fabric. Much too nice to waste on a doona :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great smock. The print looks fabulous - better for wearing than sleeping in!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I hope to see these kinds of creations in your etsy store! I'd love a top like this!

ReplyDeleteIt must have been one nice doona cover because the fabric is very nice. Very cute top!
ReplyDeleteFantastic top and I don't think it looks doona coverish at all!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteWhy clean when you can sew! The messes will always be there waiting for later.
fab top Kate, love the quilt tops too, you HAVE been busy don't know how you do it
ReplyDeleteLol! That must have been a funky doona cover! Not an average doona cover, cause that smock is pretty funky! Pretty too.
ReplyDeleteLove that top! Great work. I have often thought about buying that doona cover to cut up. I might do that next time I'm at IKEA...
ReplyDeleteLove it Kate, love the colour, love the shape and love the pattern. Who cares if it was a doona cover, no one needs to know (except everyone who read that on here he he).
ReplyDeleteWhat a stylish top! Love the bright fabric design.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute top! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great print! I am always trying to bust into color. But the other day when I showed my husband what I bought from the store, it was black, black, black, black. Someday.
