Butterick 4443

A very warm yesterday inspired me to finish Butterick 4443 and wore I it out last night. I made a quick muslin of the bodice and didn't need many alterations. The only big one was changing the shape at the back at the top. It was gaping so I cut it into a v and problem solved.
Once the muslin was finished it really didn't take long. It is lined which used to put me off patterns in the past, but it is easier than facings I think and sits much better.

I think I took 1 1/2 inches off the length

    Wow Kate, another great make! What fabric do you use to do your muslins...assuming you don't actually use muslin that is. I really have no idea about this stuff. Yet ;-)

    Oh, that looks fabulous! I was really looking forward to seeing the finished article after you posted the pattern and fabric. Just adorable and the fit is great.
    What did you use for lining? I'm also a bit put off by the challenge of doing a fully lined dress but I don't love facings, either. I might have to track down that pattern!

    Linings work way better than facings I think. The finished dress just seems to sit so much better. Love your work!
