This is still my favourite Ottobre pattern. I
made a few a couple of years ago and they were worn a lot. So here is a new one for Eva made from some fantastic chicken fabric I found at
Spotlight (in the quilting section).
The only sensible picture I managed to take was of the back.
Love the red flower buttons
They came from a big pack of buttons I bought at Spotlight. Not the best quality, but they are great for children's clothes. They are also excellent for children to sort, group, pair, learn colours etc. A pack of buttons can keep a child very happy while I am sewing them some clothes.
How are we meant to look at the dress when the model is so darn cute?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress and fabric is too cute. Your little girl is cuter though. You really do get some great photos from children of this age!++
ReplyDeleteEva is so cute! I love the top and the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I wonder if I can find a copy? ;)
ReplyDeleteLoev the shots, they look better on the computer than the phone! And what a poser! Buttons work well for while, mine's older now, more bribing needed haha. And she def wouldn't wear a chicken top!
ReplyDeleteEva makes a cute model with attitude. I love the chicken dress, it's making me clucky, sorry way bad joke :-)
ReplyDeleteThat top is great! I look forward to making many similarly lovely things now I have a girl at my house. Love the buttons too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little chicken she is! And buttons are hugely popular with all ages in this house!
ReplyDeleteKate this is adorable -I love the chicken fabric!
ReplyDeleteI have those buttons too - the girls sort them into one of those divided Tupperware lunch-boxes, all the red ones, all the teapots etc. This gives me extra sewing time - so in my mind it's a winner!
The dress is cute :) and Eva is making equally cute expression to match her dress. ;>
ReplyDeleteThat dress is sooo cute. Love the chicken's, cute little model !!!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric for a gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteOh, Kate, she is just so cute! Love that fabric in the dress.
ReplyDeleteWow -- that's adorable! And clearly Eva loves it too LOL!
ReplyDeleteBoth the dress and the girl are very cute! I think Spotlight fabric is improving.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress! I must be going wrong somewhere with Spotlight - I don't seem to find anything inspiring lately. And great idea with the buttons as an activity for the kids - I'll have to put a bag on my list for the next visit to spotlight!
ReplyDeleteEva is such a gorgeous little model in that sweet little chicken dress. What cute fabric and such a great design too!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I think I have the ottobre. And I love those button packs! Keeps the kids happy xox
ReplyDeleteI perfect combination or fabric, pattern & cutie!
ReplyDeleteoh so perfect! we love the big button bags too, keira's favourite job was to sort them all out and at times swish them all around the carpet and under furniture - not one of my favourite jobs!
