The Week

  • Amelia and Grace are home after 2 nights with Chris' parents. It was so quiet around here without them and we got a bit done but it is fantastic to have them home again.
  • I stopped procrastinating and have started writing up some patterns
  • I am trying again with the magic loop sock thing. I nearly have one cuff done. It managed to get so tangled last night and I felt like I was knitting with an octopus.
  • The weather has turned cold so it was pea and ham soup for dinner (I love soup weather).
  • Cut into some fabric and started a new quilt

  2. Let me know if the magic loop method is easy to do. I am going to try to knit 2 socks on a circular needle. I hope I have read the book correctly as it seems simple enough, hope it works. Enjoy your soup!

  4. Oh, I hated the magic look method! I hope it goes better for you than it did for me! I'd stick with double point needles any day over that mess.

I miss soup weather! It was 90 here today. I'm a light cardigan weather kind of girl. Not so keen on the sweating. Our 3 kids are going to grandma's for about 10 days. I hope I get some work done! I've been thinking about doing some of those squares. I love the simplicity of the patchwork cross.

  8. Soup weather - nice. Looking forward to it. Love pea and ham and one of these days I will share my all time favourite pea and ham recipe...

My knitting is already on the backburner. Mum will be here in a couple of weeks and she will get me moving!

Love that fabric you have shown. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt.

  11. Well Hello There!

It has been a while since my last visit and I had to stop and say hello! :o) The sock is coming along just beautifully and the colorway is amazing! I purchased two skeins of Malabrigo worsted weight today in a breathtaking blue, now I must find that special little something to knit. Good luck with your sock, I know it will turn out just wonderful!

    Smiles....

    Beverly
