Sorting
My sewing room was out of control. Fabric, buttons, ribbon, books oozing out of shelves and there was no room to move. Slowly, slowly I have been working away in there. There are now some organized piles, I can see some of the floor and the buttons are sorted into a wonderful chest my sister gave me for Christmas.
There is even room on the sewing table to actually sew.

I love the way you said that books were oozing off the shelves. That happens at my house too! Isn't it fun to sew when you don't have to "juggle" stuff?

ReplyDeleteThis is easier said than done when your sewing room is also your bedroom, study and occasional art studio!
Each time I check your blog, I smile at how similar our tastes our. I've got the same little button box with the flower shaped buttons (though most went to restashing a crafter) and I have another colourway of the Kokka print! I love your style.

ReplyDeleteKate,I'm trying to do the same... grabbing cardboard fabric rolls from the stores and re-rolling all my fabric on them, but I buy more dress material. I takes alot of time to get everything organised! I've got fabric in every cupboard in the house! Keep going with it and let me know how good it feels to have a clean & organised sewing room... ohh bliss... Cheers Lee-Anne
