The tricky think about being quite wide and not that tall is finding clothes to fit. I made some shorts yesterday. I shortened a pattern I used for pyjamas for the girls a few years ago, gathered the legs and added a band. Red spots because you can never go wrong with red spots.
How funny Kate!!! Love the shorts.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! My little guy is pretty lean but we use one size Mother Ease cloth diapers and they are pretty bulky. Finding pants to fit can be tricky...The shorts turned out very cute.
ReplyDeletelovely. and we have the opposite problem here, long and lean. isn't it wonderful that we can solve our problems instead of commenting that it is sooo hard to find clothes to fit our children??
ReplyDeletewell sometimes you can go wrong with red spots....

ReplyDeleteMy little guy is very wide compared to his length and stopped fitting normal sizes a while ago. I have been doing the same thing - inventing a better fit! Those shorts look so cute! I love that you gathered the legs.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! You can't go wrong with red spots (speaking as someone who has had both chicken pox and the measles). Spots and stripes are my favourites at the moment!
