The girls tended to vomit a lot as babies and we went through a lot of bibs. I had never thought of making them back then, but if this one is going to have to wear one all the time it may as well be a pretty one. I am not sure about the chenille on the back I might try some with flannel or plain cotton next.
You sure are going to have one funky little baby with that bib on. I love the fabrics. Hope all is going well with the pregnancy!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. I'd be proud to throw up on that ;)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! well done! Hope I can pop back here again sometime! First time to your blog! My creations are normally in paper and often its quilling. My blog does not reflect that yet! need to do something about that I guess!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I've tried cotton flannel. It'll dry quicker than the chenille.
ReplyDeleteso cute. you are almost there with your due date! I hope you are feeling well. with my third i was so ready to deliver!
ReplyDeletegorgeous... you have the best fabric and that bib is really inspiring me to make some for my future neicphew.....
ReplyDeletethats great! love the patchwork!
ReplyDeleteI use flannel or polar fleece on mine as super light, super soft and easy to sew! I've got 3 cut out still to sew but love the patchwork style

ReplyDeleteyou're right, babies never have enough bibs, but are you sure you want the baby to throw up on this lovely bib, hihi..
ReplyDeleteLove the bib and all your creations! The chenille looks so comfy!
ReplyDeletewhat a cool bib! I'd have loved these when my babies were small!
ReplyDeleteI love the bib. The colours and shape look like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI was a bib making machine when my babies were small as they were all big chuckers. They weren't as beautiful as yours though
ReplyDeleteOh that bib is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI made a lot of bibs when the girls were small and have been making the small boy wear girly bibs this time around! LOL. I reccomend polar fleece on the back as it is light but won't let much soak through - my girls had chronic reflux and Muski is a projectile vomiter so our bibs get a work out!
What a lovely bib, lucky baby! I have to get out my sewing machine again and make some bibs for Thomas - we are now into the very messy stage of him feeding himself. Perhaps I might need to make a whole smock!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous bib! I never thought of making bibs for my daughter all those years ago, she had the standard terry cloth type.
ReplyDeleteI made them the size of tea towels once food got introduced!!!!!
