Rainy Sunday

The girls have started to make their own 'cubbies' they are always making them under the table, between chairs or just in the middle of the carpet. The house may look trashed, but at least they are busy and we can sew, read and cook on this rainy Sunday afternoon.
I've just made the perfect rainy day Sunday dinner - Chicken Noodle Soup and the fire is roaring. I've finished some sewing for the shop and tonight I can sit and read (after Kath and Kim of course).

Sounds pretty much idyllic to me! And of course reading must come second to K&K - I love them too, and I'm not even Australian.

  4. What a wonderful day to be able to sew so many things. They all look wonderful, and I love the giraffe in pink. I think I may have to make mine pink too. I do remember my sister and I making cubbies out of blankets over chairs when we were young too, such fun days.

aggghhh yes, the inevitable cubby house. My couch is constantly uplifted and placed in various spots around the house. If I wake in the morning to hear them saying, 'lets pretend that your the sister pony and I'm driving my monster truck....'then I know a cubby house is involved. it may only be 6am in the morning, but it is sooo much better than the alternative.

Love the fabric on the little wombat! All of your new items are just gorgeous. And how funny was Kath & Kim on Sunday night? Celebrity-themed baby party was a classic :-)
