Blue and Green

I've never understood the saying 'blue and green should never be seen'. My Mum rarely wears anything but blue and green so I grew up seeing that colour combination all the time and it is one of my favourites.

I added a few greys to my stack of fabrics and made some quarter circle blocks, rectangles and triangles and randomly arranged them. 

Some times it is just fun to sew and see what you end up with. 

Cotton Rose

There is one thing better than a weekend away at the beach - a weekend away at the beach with a visit to a fantastic quilt shop! I snuck away on Saturday for a quick visit to Cotton Rose. It was so great to meet Tanya (so friendly, helpful and lovely), and I could have bought every fabric in there. Definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere in the south west. 

 I was a little bit excited to see my books as you walk in the door!

Fancy Hen

A present for a friend, because who doesn't need a chicken pillow.
